WHAT WE DO · ENGAGEMENTS & LEVERAGE

Building software got faster. Building a business didn't.

A convincing demo takes a weekend now. Turning it into something people pay for, that holds up under real use and passes an investor's questions, takes the strategy, architecture and senior engineering we do here.

The gap nobody warns you about.

Getting to a demo is genuinely easy now. Getting from that demo to a company is where most of the work lives, and none of it is the part AI helps with. Systems that hold at ten thousand users rather than ten. Decisions about what to build next, and what to refuse. Enough polish that a customer trusts you with their data. That is the stretch we work in.

Discovery

A conversation with no pitch in it. We learn what you're building and what's in the way. If we're not the right fit we'll say so, and usually point you to someone who is.

02

2–4 weeks · fixed scope

The Blueprint

The document your build runs on: what the product needs to do, how the system is put together, the design system, and a roadmap to launch. Yours to keep, whoever builds it.

03

Ongoing

Build sprints

A dedicated senior team working in two-week cycles, with a demo every Friday. You own the code from the first commit.

04

Launch & beyond

Launch is the start, not the finish. We stay on to support the product, or help you hire the team that takes it over from us.

Where we go deep.

We work in industries where “move fast and break things” is bad advice. Regulated products, physical devices, and systems carrying data that matters. In those places, experience saves more time than speed does.

01

Health

HIPAA-native platforms, telehealth, patient data.

02

Industrial IoT & hardware

Connected devices, offline-first field software, edge-to-cloud.

03

Applied AI

Retrieval systems, agent workflows, and the evaluation work that keeps a model honest in production.

Also at home in: agri-tech, logistics, commerce, sports tech.

Cash, hybrid, or equity.

Most engagements are straightforward fee-for-service. For a small number of companies each year we take a reduced rate plus equity, or build for equity alone. Joining the cap table as the technical partner also tells your next investor who is responsible for the foundation.

MBARC exists because its founder has been on both sides of the table: the startup founder awake at 3 a.m. wondering whether the code will hold, and the architect responsible for systems at scale. The studio was built around what happens when founders hire the wrong technical help, and what happens when they find the right partner.

Pre-seed with a napkin sketch, or Series A with a scaling crisis. Either way we'd like to hear it. No pitch deck required.
